"I saw an e-card in my news feed that said, "NO, I’m not a size 0 because I don’t have the body of a 12 year old." I don’t get offended by e-cards, they offend everyone and are hilarious. I didn’t want to get into it on their page but this person is a friend of mine and I really wanted to say to them that I’m a size 0 and certainly do not have the body of a 12 year old. I remember some pretty well developed 12 year old girls when I was in middle school. I remember feeling like a bean pole and they were borrowing their moms clothes. It isn’t easy for any woman with any body type to love themselves, especially in our society that puts so much emphasis on beauty. It was a struggle for me too but I am happy to say that I love my body, it was NOT easy. I believe that all bodies are beautiful. I encourage everyone to love their body and proclaim it to the world and plaster your self love and acceptance all over the internet but DO NOT do it by shaming other body types. By posting that e-card you became as ugly and judgmental as the people who made you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.""
